The pharmaceutical distribution company Hefame and ALIA Alicante Investment Agency are working together in the prospecting of a new headquarters in the city from which to increase their portfolio of services, through which they currently supply medicines to more than 700 pharmacies in the province, including 80% of the establishments in the capital of Alicante.
In this way, the company has received the city councilor of Promotion and Employment, María del Carmen de España, together with the team of the Local Development Agency (ALD) of the Alicante City Council in its current facilities, located in the industrial area Pla de la Vallonga, where they have known its activity and have been able to evaluate its needs and its projection in the short and long term. For its part, De España has placed the services of ALIA (Alicante’s investment attraction office) at its disposal for its expansion project.
The capital of Alicante has historically been one of Hefame’s strategic bets, since it opened its first warehouse in the city in 1973. Currently, the company works with more than 50 routes, serves more than 700 pharmacies and has an automation level of more than 60 percent.
In addition, at the end of 2021, Hefame opened its second large regulatory center in the Valencian Community, in Riba-roja (Valencia), a fact that demonstrates the company’s firm commitment to the region, where it already has more than 35,000 square meters dedicated to logistics activities.
