Alicante Futura-ALIA and The Ocean Race have met once again to discuss the upcoming challenges and opportunities arising from the recent signing of the Committed Partner agreement between the two organisations.<\/p>\n

The Ocean Race is a global event that goes beyond the realm of sport, combining adventure, human challenge, technology and innovation \u2013 elements fully aligned with Alicante\u2019s city strategy and which give meaning to this cooperation agreement.<\/p>\n

With the aim of exploring possible avenues of collaboration that promote Alicante\u2019s positioning as an innovative city and enhance its international profile, the action plan being developed by The Ocean Race has been examined in depth.<\/p>\n

In this context, the technological aspect of the race is particularly significant, as it stands out for tackling major challenges linked to the real-time transmission of data from the boats during the competition and its broadcast in live coverage. To this end, the organisation has made a significant investment in technological innovation based on the use of satellite systems that ensure the smooth running of the event.<\/p>\n

The meeting was attended by Vicente Segu\u00ed \u2013 Director-General for Employment, Business Development and the New Economy; Javier Morales \u2013 Head of New Technologies and Innovation Services; and the team coordinating the strategies for Alicante Futura and ALIA.<\/p>\n

Representing The Ocean Race were Sebasti\u00e1n de Prado \u2013 Head of Technology, Marino Palmquist \u2013 Head of Sports Sponsorship, Andrea Tagliamacco \u2013 Head of Special Projects, and Stefan\u00eda Esteve \u2013 Finance and Public Relations Director.<\/p>\n
