On July 9th, Alicante welcomed a business delegation from China interested in learning about the city’s economic, institutional, and business ecosystem, as well as its internationalization processes and investment attraction strategies.<\/p>\n
The visit aimed to explore the city’s main strategic assets and establish contact with key local entities to identify potential collaboration and investment opportunities. The delegation also shared the needs of the Chinese market, showing particular interest in Alicante’s capabilities in innovation, logistics, infrastructure, business development, and international cooperation. <\/p>\n
To provide a comprehensive view of the local ecosystem, the agenda included visits to various local organizations. These included the Local Development Agency, the Alicante City Hall area, The Ocean Race, the Marina, Panoramis, and the Regus business park. They also had the opportunity to learn about the activities of the Port Authority of Alicante, visit the Ideas Gym, and discover some of the projects promoted by Aguas de Alicante (Alicante Water Company). <\/p>\n
The delegation included Wang Xing, representing various entities involved in international economic relations between China and Europe, including his role as president of Yixing Zhiyuan International Consulting Co. and as International Cooperation Advisor for the China Association of Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises (CASME), along with Veline Ong and Simon Shan of Chino Rocket. Also participating in the visit were Pedro Ponce, president of Jovempa, and the team from ALIA – Alicante Investment Agency. <\/p>\n
