In 2027, the old Alicante Post Office Building will host \u201c42 Alicante\u201d, a programming campus to train new professionals in digital technologies.<\/p>\n

The initiative is the result of the alliance between the Telef\u00f3nica Foundation and the Generalitat Valenciana and to which up to 10.35 million euros will be allocated over the next four years. The president of the Generalitat, Juanfran P\u00e9rez LLorca, and the general director of Fundaci\u00f3n Telef\u00f3nica, Isabel Salazar, signed yesterday in Madrid a collaboration protocol to launch the project and promote employability in the technology sector. <\/p>\n

Thanks to the \u201c42 Alicante\u201d project, our province will be the fifth headquarters of Fundaci\u00f3n Telef\u00f3nica in all of Spain, along with Madrid, Barcelona, \u200b\u200bUrduliz and M\u00e1laga.<\/p>\n

The program has great aspirations, as it hopes to become one of the \u201cmost innovative in the world\u201d, according to P\u00e9rez Llorca himself. The campus has been designed to respond to the needs of the Alicante business community, responding to the needs of the labor market by forming specialized digital profiles. <\/p>\n

Likewise, the program will contribute to attracting, retaining and enhancing talent, consolidating Alicante and the Valencian Community as a leading academic and professional destination in educational innovation and digital transformation.<\/p>\n

To this end, the agreement establishes the commitment to strengthen cooperation between public administration, companies, universities, research centers and civil society.<\/p>\n

The project has the support of the Alicante City Council, from where the Impulsalicante Local Development Agency has collaborated to materialize the agreement.<\/p>\n

The arrival of 42 Alicante is excellent news for the province’s innovation ecosystem. Expanding training in areas such as artificial intelligence, cybersecurity or software development will allow us to respond to the growing demand for specialized talent and consolidate Alicante as one of the main technological hubs in the Mediterranean. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
