New agreement between the Port Authority and Alicante City Council to strengthen the city’s strategy

Alicante continues to make progress in its economic and urban transformation strategy by strengthening institutional collaboration between administrations. In this context, the Port Authority and Alicante City Council have formalised a protocol that establishes a stable framework for cooperation and coordination between the two bodies, aimed at strengthening joint planning and the alignment of actions.

This agreement enables the alignment of policies and projects aimed at promoting economic growth, innovation and sustainability in the municipality, within the framework of the strategies promoted by the Local Development Agency (Impulsalicante): Alicante Futura and ALIA.

The memorandum of understanding highlights the importance of institutional cooperation as a tool for anticipating the city’s challenges and improving joint responsiveness, within a vision that aims to consolidate Alicante as a hub for investment and knowledge, strengthening the link between the public sector and the region’s business community.

Within this framework, the Port Authority acts as a strategic agent in the city’s development, contributing to its positioning as a competitive, innovative environment that generates opportunities for economic and social development.
