Alicante City Council has a date with European innovation: “The European Research & Innovation Days 2025,” a European Commission event held on September 16 and 17, bringing together policymakers, researchers, businesses, and citizens to discuss and shape the future of science, technology, and innovation in Europe.
The 2025 program included discussions on key policies, such as strategies to foster the creation and growth of innovative startups and the role of artificial intelligence in scientific research.
Alicante City Council was represented by Elisa Diaz, Head of the Employment and Development Service of Alicante City Council; Esteban Pelayo, Manager of the Alicante Science Park; Mar Cervera, Driving Innovation & Business Growth; and Elena Gómez and Celia Sánchez from Alicante Futura-ALIA.
The program’s agenda facilitated dialogue and exchange on key EU policies and initiatives to promote research and innovation and will allow conclusions and lessons learned to be shared with Alicante’s investment and innovation community.
